The Client’s Brief

For their Rainham home, our client wanted a refined, timeless kitchen that would elevate their open-plan space while remaining practical for everyday use. They were drawn to classic in-frame cabinetry, elegant detailing, and high-quality materials that would stand the test of time. A hidden bar was a key requirement – something beautifully crafted yet discreet – along with modern cooking appliances and an island designed around storage and workflow. The overall aim was a luxurious, light, and carefully tailored space for cooking, hosting, and family life.

A standout feature is the bespoke solid walnut hidden bar. Concealed behind tall in-frame doors, it opens to reveal warm walnut interiors, integrated lighting, glassware storage, and a dedicated wine rack – a beautifully executed statement piece made for entertaining.

The main cooking run features two single ovens, a combi microwave, and an integrated wine cooler, creating a streamlined and highly functional workspace. A traditional-style mantle with built-in extractor frames the hob and adds architectural presence to the room.

At the centre, the island brings together form and function with a dishwasher, integrated bin, and expansive prep space. Finished with Quartz Calacatta Grey worktops and a matching splashback, the veining adds movement and a luxurious finish. The addition of a Quooker boiling tap provides everyday convenience while maintaining a clean, uncluttered feel.

The result is a beautifully crafted kitchen that blends heritage styling with modern functionality – a standout project in Rainham that showcases exceptional detailing and thoughtful design throughout.
