The Client’s Brief
Returning for their fourth collaboration with Ream, Mr and Mrs Coe eagerly anticipated crafting yet another new kitchen. The couple sought a design that would marry modern sleekness with the traditional character of their home. They were particularly drawn to a colour palette of grey and indigo, believing it would give the kitchen an open and airy feel while also providing a striking visual impact.
The Project
This contemporary kitchen merges sophistication with functionality, set in a spacious layout with a colour palette of neutral greys and crisp whites, accented by a dark island base. Timeless shaker-style cabinetry complements the home’s traditional ambience, while state-of-the-art appliances and durable composite stone marble replica worktops ensure the kitchen is equipped for both family life and entertaining. A statement gas over is adorned by a decorative and traditional cooker hood embellished with cornices, adding that traditional flourish to this unique design. The central island anchors the space and serves as a prep area and a casual dining spot with its breakfast bar seating.
Modern pendant lights cast a focused glow over the island, enhancing the overall appeal of the. Each detail, from the textured surfaces to the reflective ones, is curated to offer a kitchen that is as much a pleasure to use as it is to view, aligning with Mr. and Mrs. Coe’s vision for a space that’s airy yet impactful.
