The Client’s Brief
Following the completion of their new extension, Mr. and Mrs. Howe were in search of a kitchen that could seamlessly integrate into their expanded space. Additionally, they desired a striking yet neutral aesthetic for their kitchen, aiming to create a design that would truly make a statement in their new living area.
The Project
This exceptional kitchen in West Wickham presents a minimalist design with a focus on functionality and sleek aesthetics. The light grey, Zola gloss handleless cabinetry, creates a flawless look, complemented by the elegant marble style worktops, which add a pop of detail to the neutral aesthetic. Central to the space is Mr and Mrs Howe’s favourite feature, a beautiful island complete with a waterfall worktop. This island serves as a culinary preparation zone and a social hub for informal dining.
The herringbone pattern on the wooden floor infuses a traditional flair into the contemporary space, balancing the cool whites and greys with its warm tones. Built-in seamless appliances are meticulously integrated into the cabinets, preserving the streamlined and pristine appearance. A state-of-the-art extractor hood rises above the induction cooktop, and the minimalist marble backsplash unites the elements here with sophistication. The kitchen’s design optimises the space and meets the brief creating a soothing yet striking overall look.
