What is an Aisling Kitchen?

What does the word ‘Aisling’ mean?

Aisling is an Irish female name meaning ‘dream’ or ‘vision’. The name was chosen by the Irish company to reference their commitment to making clients’ dreams come true. This really refers to starting with a dream of bespoke handcrafted furniture and turning it into something that you can cherish forever.

What does Aisling specialise in?

The company specialises in beautiful in-frame kitchens. Unlike other kitchens, in-frame kitchens are built with a wooden frame either around the door or the unit front. This structural difference improves the durability and longevity of your kitchen while creating a stunning visual detail synonymous with traditional quality and charm. However, many other design aspects make up an in-frame kitchen. With a multitude of different in-frame styles, matching accessories, and the option for personalisation, there really is something for everyone!

The more traditional collections such as ‘Charlotte’ and ‘Toronto’ will give a classic and timeless finish to your space, while ranges such as ‘Aurora’ and ‘Quebec’ establish a more contemporary feel, combining simplicity and style. The beauty of an Aisling kitchen is that every style is completely classic and built to last, meaning that your kitchen will retain its sophisticated looks for many years.

What sets an Aisling Kitchen apart from the rest?

What sets an Aisling kitchen apart is the level of bespoke detailing at the heart of their products. Each kitchen they make is specifically tailored to your space, with every door, infill and final touch thoroughly considered. The bespoke nature of their products does mean that their kitchens sit higher up in the market as opposed to ‘normal’ hinged designs. The craftsmanship that goes into creating an Aisling kitchen is unrivalled and requires a high level of precision. The results are something quite spectacular.

How bespoke is an Aisling kitchen?

With no standard sizes and fully custom fronts and internals, the possibilities really are endless. Your designer has the ability to specify anything you wish, making your Aisling kitchen truly special and unique to you. No two kitchens they produce are the same.

What are the types of detail I can add to my Aisling kitchen?

Specially designed drawer internals offer a great way to manage space efficiently; from cutlery inserts to pan drawer dividers, there are a host of options to make everyday life easier. Aisling kitchens can even include spice drawers for cooking lovers and bespoke coffee pod drawers for those who champion their morning coffee.

Another great way to personalise your space is by incorporating bespoke appliance housing into your kitchen. For example, you might add a small, purposely built area to house your coffee machine. This could feature coffee pod drawers underneath, as well as places for your favourite syrups and shelves for your cups and mugs.

Dresser and pantry units are a signature Aisling kitchen feature, providing the ideal storage solution for those who favour a well-organised kitchen. Dresser units make a versatile addition to the kitchen. They can be used to house a range of luxurious features from drinks bars to breakfast stations. Your dresser can include a custom arrangement of glass holders, chopping boards, bottle rack and concaves and drawers. Pantry cupboards also make a popular choice, offering an abundance of practical storage options such as wine and bottle racks, open shelving and other drawers which can be meticulously finished with carved bespoke labels.

Where does an Aisling kitchen sit on the pricing scale?

Due to the exquisite quality of the product itself and the specialist manufacturing and skilled craftsmanship that goes into every single component, an Aisling kitchen sits at the higher end of the pricing scale, usually starting at around £35,000. The price can fluctuate depending on your unique specification, but on average, this is the price range you would be looking at.

Can anyone fit an Aisling Kitchen?

Unfortunately, not. If you decide to opt for an in-frame kitchen, you must ensure your fitter is experienced in fitting in-frame kitchens or specifically trained in fitting them, as they are more complicated to install than standard lay on cabinets. As each component has been made bespoke to each project, they should intricately fit together. Unlike a normal hinged kitchen, if a component gets damaged, the lead time is a lot longer as it will need to be re-made from scratch, thus a lot of care must be taken when fitting this type of kitchen.

What colour can you get an Aisling kitchen in?

As these kitchens are made to order, Aisling actually offers a rail code service, meaning you can choose any colour you like. If you find a paint colour you think will be perfect for your kitchen, you can simply supply Aisling with the rail code, and they will mix a unique colour to exactly match your paint. This does come at an extra cost as it is such a specialist service.

Otherwise, Aisling offers a wide range of stock and paint to order colours to choose from. All these colours are available in both the smooth and grained door ranges.
