Ream Interior’s Lara Kerslake Is Shortlisted For The KBSA’s Kitchen Designer Of The Year Award 2021

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that our talented designer, Lara Kerslake, has been nominated for the KBSA’s Kitchen Designer of The Year Award 2021!
Lara has been nominated in the kitchens up to £25k category for her fantastic work on Mr and Mrs O’Connor’s stylish contemporary kitchen in Cliffe Woods. Our clients were looking to make a dramatic statement with an edgy modern design. Lara opted for a dark matt grey colour scheme with contrasting light granite worktops to create a striking effect. Staggered overhead cabinets and symmetrical tall bookend units bring a crisp architectural feel to the design which is accentuated by sleek lighting details. Plenty of large pan drawers and cleverly positioned appliances ensure this kitchen meets the practical demands of our clients and their young family.
As the UK’s leading governing body of independent kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailers, the KBSA’s Kitchen Design Awards are an exciting and prestigious annual event. The award recognises exceptional talent in the industry and highlights the designers to look out for in 2022. Several highly regarded industry figures make up the independent judging panel responsible for selecting the award finalists. This year they emphasised the extraordinary standard of competition, making receiving a nomination a fantastic achievement.
We are, of course, incredibly proud of Lara for making it through to the finals. The nomination is a testament to her hard work and outstanding design expertise. Judges praised the attention to detail and bold styling behind the design and commended the way in which it perfectly answered the client’s brief.
